3BallMTY, pronounced “Tribal Monterrey”, is a Mexican electronic dance music trio from Monterrey, Mexico. Since releasing their debut album in 2010, 3BallMTY has been credited with revolutionizing Latin EDM and establishing the modern Tribal Guarachero sound. The group is composed of Ernesto “Neto” Vazquez, Alberto “DJ Sheeqo” Presenda and Omar Gongora. 3BallMTY have won numerous awards and accolades, including four Latin Grammy Awards and two Premios Lo Nuestro Awards.
Early Beginnings
The history of 3BallMTY began in 2009 when Neto and Sheeqo met at a club in Monterrey. After discovering they both shared a passion for electronic music production, the two began producing music together with the goal of creating something unique. They soon added Omar to the group and started producing their signature Tribal Guarachero sound.
Success and Accolades
In 2010, 3BallMTY released their debut album “Intentalo” which was an instant success in Mexico. The album spawned the popular singles “Intentalo” and “Zapateando” which quickly earned them recognition throughout Mexico and Latin America.
