A Perfect Circle has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe. The band has sold over 4 million albums worldwide.
Background
A Perfect Circle was formed in 1999 by former Tool guitar technician Billy Howerdel. Howerdel had been a member of the alternative rock band Ashes Divide since 2003. He had been writing music since the late 1990s but could not find a singer to bring his musical vision to life. He approached Maynard James Keenan, lead singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle's other founding member, to join the project.
Music Career
The band released their debut album, Mer de Noms, in 2000. The album was a commercial success and spawned several hit singles including “Judith” and “3 Libras”. The band went on to release the follow up album Thirteenth Step in 2003. The album was another commercial success and featured the singles “Weak and Powerless” and “The Outsider”. In 2004 the band released an EP titled Emotive which featured covers of classic songs by artists such as John Lennon and Marvin Gaye.
Recent Years
In 2010 the band released their third studio album titled Eat the Elephant. The album featured singles such as “By and Down” and “TalkTalk”. The band has been on hiatus since 2013 but announced in 2018 that they would be releasing a new album in 2019. The album is titled Eat the Elephant and features singles such as “Disillusioned” and “So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish”.
