Early Life and Education
Ace Hood grew up in Deerfield Beach, Florida alongside his mother and two siblings. He attended Ely High School where he was a member of the basketball team. After graduating, he enrolled at a local college to pursue a career in business management.
Music Career
In 2006, Hood met DJ Khaled outside the office of Slip-N-Slide Records. Khaled was impressed by Ace's lyrical style and signed him to his label We the Best Music Group. In 2007, he released his debut album titled Gutta and it peaked at number 35 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Hood's second album was titled Ruthless and it was released in 2009. The album spawned two singles including 'Overtime' and 'Champion'. His third studio album Blood, Sweat & Tears was released in 2011 followed by Trials & Tribulations in 2013 and Trust the Process II: Undefeated in 2017.
