Adriano Celentano is an Italian singer, songwriter and actor, born on 6 January 1938 in Milan. He is considered one of the most influential figures in Italian entertainment. He rose to fame in the late 1950s and has since become an icon of Italian popular music.
Early Life
Adriano's parents were from the south of Italy, but his family moved to Milan when he was still a baby. At the age of 10 he started playing drums for different jazz bands in Milan. He also attended the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milano. He graduated in 1960 with a degree in painting.
Career Highlights
Adriano's career began in the late 1950s when he signed with record label Clan Celentano. His career quickly took off with the release of his first single 24.000 Baci (1958).
