Who is Akhil Sachdeva?

Akhil Sachdeva is an Indian singer-songwriter, composer and music producer who has gained success for his melodious compositions in Hindi films. He is best known for his song “Humsafar” from the movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017).

Early Life & Career

Sachdeva was born in Delhi and raised in Delhi, India. He has been playing guitar since he was 8 years old and was inspired by the works of A. R. Rahman. He composed his first song at the age of 11. After graduating from school, Sachdeva moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in music.

He started his career as a music composer in Bollywood with his debut song “Kabira” from the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). He then went on to compose more hit songs such as “Humsafar” from Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), “Mere Rashke Qamar” from Baadshaho (2017), and “Tera Hua” from Loveyatri (2018).

Sachdeva has also composed for several non-film albums such as Kuch Din Kahein (2016), Teri Yaadon Mein (2016), Tu Meri Zindagi Hai (2016), Dil Ki Baat (2017), and Do Pal Ruka (2019).

Awards & Accolades

Sachdeva has been nominated for numerous awards for his work in Bollywood such as the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) and the Mirchi Music Award for Best Song of 2018 for “Tera Hua” from Loveyatri (2018). He has also won several awards such as the Zee Cine Award for Best Music Director for Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) and the Mirchi Music Award for Best Song of 2017 for “Humsafar”.

Sachdeva currently resides in Mumbai, India. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, and playing guitar.
