About Alacranes Musical

Alacranes Musical is a Mexican Duranguense band formed in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. The group consists of lead vocalist Fernando Angel Moreno, bassist Juan Carlos Ponce and drummer Manuel Ríos. The band has released several albums since their formation in 2004 and have become one of the most popular Duranguense bands of all time.

Early Career

The group was founded in 2004 by Fernando Angel Moreno and Juan Carlos Ponce while they were still attending high school in Torreón. The two had been playing together since they were young, and decided to form a band in order to play their original music. They recruited their friend Manuel Ríos to play drums, and the trio began playing shows around town.

Rise to Fame

The group released their debut album, “Amor de Madre” in 2007. The album was met with great success and spawned several hit singles, including “Mi Estrella” and “El Amor de Mi Vida”. The album earned them two Latin Grammy nominations, and the band soon became one of the most popular Duranguense bands in Mexico.

Collaborations

Alacranes Musical has collaborated with several other artists over the years. They have worked with Maná on several songs, including “Aqui No Es Asi” and “Unidos Por La Musica”. They have also collaborated with Grupo Montez de Durango on songs like “No Te Vayas” and Los Horoscopos de Durango on “Tu Traicion”.

Recent Work

The group released their latest album “Fin De La Historia” in 2020. The album featured the hit single “Para Siempre”, which became an instant success. The group is currently on tour in Mexico and is planning to release a new album soon.
