Who Is Allie X?

Allie X is the stage name of Canadian singer-songwriter Allison Margaret Hughes. Allie has been performing and releasing music since 2014 and has become an in-demand collaborator for artists like Troye Sivan, Verite, and Vincent.

Life and Music Career

Allie was born in Toronto and raised in Oakville, Ontario. She studied at McGill University in Montreal where she developed an interest in songwriting. She released her debut single ""Catch"" in 2014 followed by her debut EP CollXtion I in 2015. The album featured singles ""Bitch"", ""Prime"" and ""Sanctuary"". In 2017 she released her second EP CollXtion II which included the single ""Paper Love"".

Notable Works

In addition to her own albums and singles, Allie has been featured on several works by other artists. She collaborated with Troye Sivan on the single ""Youth"" from his 2018 album Bloom. She was also featured on the track ""Lying"" from Verite's EP Phase Me Out as well as Vincent's single ""Kiss Me"".

Awards and Achievements

In 2017 Allie was nominated for two Prism Prize Awards for her two music videos for the songs ""Catch"" and ""Old Habits Die Hard"". She was also nominated for a UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Performance by a Female in a Music Video or Short Film.
