Amar Arshi was born as Amarjit Singh in 1984 in Amritsar. He gained an interest in music at a young age and started singing at an early age. His father was also a musician who played traditional instruments such as the dholak. In 2004, Amar Arshi released his first album 'Kaun Nachdi' which became an instant hit. This was followed by many other successful albums including ‘Gallan Mithiyan’.
