Amy was born in Riverside, California in 1981. She started playing piano at a very young age and was primarily influenced by classical music. Amy grew up in many different locations due to her father's job and moved around with her family frequently. At the age of 13 she moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where she met future Evanescence bandmates Ben Moody and John LeCompt. Together they formed the band Evanescence in 1995. The band released their first EP in 1998 and their debut album Fallen in 2003 which was certified 6x platinum by the RIAA.
Solo Career
In addition to her work with Evanescence, Amy has released several solo albums including Aftermath in 2016 and Dream Too Much in 2016.
