Who is A-Lin?

A-Lin (born Lín Tái-Lân) is a Taiwanese pop music artist who has been making music since 2003. She rose to fame in 2005 with her debut album, A-Lin, and has since gone on to become one of the most popular and successful female singers in Taiwan and other parts of Asia. A-Lin is known for her powerful vocals and heartfelt ballads, as well as her thoughtful lyrics. Her music has been featured in many movies and television shows, and she has won numerous awards over the course of her career.

Career Highlights

A-Lin's breakthrough came in 2011 with the release of her fourth album Hush!. The single from the album, My Own Way, reached #1 on the Taiwan Billboard Charts, making A-Lin one of the few female singers to ever do so. Since then, she has released five more albums, including the critically acclaimed The Story of My Life (2013), which was nominated for a Golden Melody Award. In 2016, A-Lin made history by becoming the first Taiwanese singer to perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Collaborations

A-Lin has collaborated with a number of artists throughout her career, including Taiwanese singer Jay Chou on his hit single Silently Love You. She has also worked with popular Chinese singer Han Geng on the single Far Away, which was featured on her fifth album Rejoice.

A-Lin has received numerous awards throughout her career. She won Best Female Singer at the HITO Radio Music Awards in 2012, Best Mandarin Female Singer at the Metro Radio Hits Awards in 2013, and Best Mandarin Female Singer at the Golden Melody Awards in 2014. In 2016, she was awarded Best Original Music Video for My Own Way at the Golden Melody Awards. A-Lin is also a two-time winner of Best Mandarin Female Singer at the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards (2016 & 2018).
