Who is Aldy Maldini?

Aldy Maldini is an Indonesian singer, songwriter and producer. Born Aditya Putra Sulungbudi in 1988, he's one of the most popular pop stars in Indonesia. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in both the local and international music industry. His smooth singing style and catchy melodies have made him a hit among listeners of all ages.

Early Life & Career

Aldy grew up in Jakarta and started singing at a young age. He was inspired by a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, soul, pop, R&B and hip-hop. He honed his craft as a backup singer for various artists before finally launching his own career in 2008. His debut album, “Sunset Di Tanah Airku” featured collaborations with some of Indonesia’s best-known singers, such as Vina Panduwinata and Titiek Puspa. The album was a huge success, cementing Aldy’s place among the nation’s top singers.

Over the following years, Aldy continued to release successful albums and singles. In 2011, he won several awards for his song “Sebuah Kesan” at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards ceremony. In 2014, he released his fourth album “Aldymaldini” which received critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike. The album included the hit singles “Aku Tak Biasa” and “Takkan Ada Cinta Yang Lain”.

Aldy began to gain international recognition in 2015 when he was featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s “New Music Showcase”. This gave him exposure to audiences all over the world, including Europe and North America. Since then, he has gone on to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the international music scene, such as Mark Ronson and Diplo. He has also become a regular fixture at major music festivals across Asia.
