Who is Alvvays?

Alvvays is a Canadian indie pop band formed in Toronto in 2011. The members of the band are lead singer and guitarist Molly Rankin, Kerri MacLellan on keyboards and vocals, Alec O'Hanley on guitar and keyboards, Brian Murphy on bass guitar and Phil MacIsaac on drums. They are best known for their 2014 single “Archie, Marry Me” which was a huge international success.

The Music

Alvvays' music consists of dreamy, surf-influenced indie pop with lyrics that focus on themes of love and heartbreak. Their debut album was released in 2014 to critical acclaim and their follow-up record Antisocialites was released in 2017. The band has been praised for their catchy melodies and clever songwriting.
