Summary Aminé is an alternative Indie/Hip-Hop rapper from Portland, Oregon, who combines his upbeat style through colorful words, catchy hooks, and entertaining videos bringing, his story to life. Early life Born Adam Amine Daniel, the son of Ethiopian & Eritrean parents. His mother and father migrated from Ethiopia to the States in the 1990s. He attended an all-white middle school and was exposed to racism, which gave him a feeling of detachment. As he entered high school, he felt more connected as his school was more integrated. While in education, he began helping with the school radio show. When he finished college, he occasionally traveled to New York to visit family, and while there, he managed to gain an internship at Def Jam. Amine went through a difficult time in his personal life, and writing became a way of release. Career One of his university friends, Pasque, became his music partner and would produce beats for the rapper. Together they created their first mixtape, “Odyssey to me” and the global internet became their place of connection, leading them to obtain beats from Canadian producer “Kaytranada”. His beats were used for Amine’s second mixtape, “calling Brio.” By early 2016, the rapper released his song “Caroline” with its funk-style beat. It pushed its way into the Billboard charts, eventually hitting the number eleven spot. In 2016 Amine was signed by Republic Records, and by 2017 he released his debut album “Good for you” the album reached the number 31 spot on the US Billboard 200 charts. Amine’s second studio album, “Limbo,” features a variety of artists such as Charlie Wilson, JID, and Young Thug, to name a few. One of his singles, Riri, pays tribute to Rhianna. The artist creates music that is bright and entertaining, which has secured him a large following.
