Early Life & Education

Anjulie was born on June 5, 1986 in Oakville, Ontario. She grew up in a musical family and started singing at the age of four. She attended McGill University where she studied anthropology and music.

Career Beginnings

In 2009, Anjulie released her self-titled debut album which included the hit single “Boom”. The single reached number one on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and was certified gold by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA). The success of “Boom” launched Anjulie into stardom in Canada, propelling her to open for acts like Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson on their respective tours. In 2010, Anjulie was nominated for a Juno Award for Best Dance Recording for her single “Boom”.

In 2011, Anjulie released her single “Brand New Bitch” which peaked at number one on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and was certified platinum by CRIA. The success of this single further catapulted Anjulie's career as she was featured in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Billboard.
