Who is Arjun?

Arjun is an Indian singer-songwriter and producer. He was born in London and spent much of his childhood in India. His distinctive sound blends South Asian melodies with contemporary electronic music. As a child, Arjun was inspired by his father’s classical Indian music collection, which he began listening to at the age of five. In addition to creating his own music, he has collaborated with a variety of other artists such as Namita Choudhary, Jaz Dhami and Shashaa Tirupati.

Career

Arjun began his career as a music producer in 2013. After releasing several remixes, he gained recognition for his productions on BBC Radio 1Xtra. In 2016, Arjun released his first solo single, “Fireproof”, which achieved over 2 million views on YouTube. He followed this up with the single “Love Like That” in 2017. He has since released several singles and EPs, including “Slow Motion” and “Sikka”. His latest EP, “Limitless”, was released in 2019.

Accolades

Arjun has been nominated for several awards over the years. In 2017, he won Best Dance/Electronic Act at the UK Asian Music Awards. He was also nominated for British Breakthrough Act at the 2018 BBC Music Awards. He has performed at major festivals such as the Wireless Festival and Glastonbury Festival.
