Who is Asher Angel?

Asher Angel is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He began his career at the age of 8, making appearances in commercials, television shows, and movies. His most notable role was as Jonah Beck in the Disney Channel series Andi Mack. In 2019, Asher released his first single, ""One Thought Away"", as part of his debut EP, which peaked at number 18 on the US Billboard 200 chart. His follow-up single ""Chemistry"" was released in 2020.

Early Life and Career

Born in 2002 in Phoenix, Arizona, Asher Angel started his career early in life. He began appearing in commercials when he was 8-years-old, and subsequently appeared in an episode of the Nickelodeon show iCarly. He then became a series regular on the Disney Channel show Andi Mack as Jonah Beck. His role in the show won him several awards including a Kids’ Choice Award nomination for Favorite Male TV Star.

Music Career

In 2019, Asher released his first single ""One Thought Away"", which peaked at number 18 on the US Billboard 200 chart. His follow-up single ""Chemistry"" was released in 2020. Asher has also been featured on other artist’s tracks including Jake Miller’s ""Nightmares Are Real"" and AJR’s ""Bang!"". He also collaborated with Marshmello for the 2020 single ""OK Not To Be OK"".

Other Projects

In 2020, Asher starred alongside Zendaya and John David Washington in Malcolm & Marie, an independent film directed by Sam Levinson. He has also been featured on several magazine covers including J-14 magazine. As well as singing and acting, Asher is also an avid skateboarder.
