Asif Akbar is a Bangladeshi singer and songwriter from Chittagong. He rose to fame in 2013 with his single “Shesh Bikeler Meye” and has since released several chart-topping songs and albums. His music blends traditional Bengali music with modern R&B and pop sounds.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Asif Akbar was born in 1989 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He began singing at a young age and was discovered by producer Mahmud Sunny when he was just thirteen years old. He released his debut album, “Pothchola”, in 2009 which was a commercial success.

Rise to Fame

In 2013, Asif released his single “Shesh Bikeler Meye” which quickly became a hit in Bangladesh. The song was re-released in 2014 as part of his second album “Amar Pothchola” which also featured the hit single “Amar Pothchola”. His third album, “Tumi Kemon Kore” was released in 2015 and was well-received by critics.

Recent Projects

In 2016, Asif released his fourth album “Tomar Jol” which featured the singles “Tumi Kemon Kore”, “Khudha” and “Tomar Jol”. The album was another commercial success for Asif. In 2017, he released his fifth album “Shobai To Bhalobasha” which featured the singles “Chuye Dile Mon” and “Shobai To Bhalobasha”. The album was nominated for several awards including a Lux Channel I Music Award.
