Who Is ATB?
ATB is the stage name of André Tanneberger, a German DJ and music producer. He has released nine studio albums, as well as many successful singles such as “9PM (Till I Come)”, “The Summer”, and “Let U Go”. He is also known for collaborating with other artists such as Amurai, JES, Ferry Corsten, Tiësto, and Dash Berlin. Early Life and Career Beginnings
ATB was born on February 26th, 1973 in Freiberg, Germany. At the age of eight, he showed an interest in music and started to learn how to play the piano. He was particularly inspired by Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. When he was 15 years old, he bought his first synthesizer and began experimenting with electronic music. Rise to Fame
In 1995, ATB released his debut single “9PM (Till I Come)” which reached number one in the UK Singles Chart. This success quickly led him to the attention of major record labels including Kontor Records which signed him that same year. In 1999, ATB released his first full-length album Movin’ Melodies which was followed by two more albums in 2001 and 2002. Recent Activity
In recent years, ATB has continued to tour around the world while releasing new singles and albums such as Contact (2014) and Distant Earth (2011). He has also collaborated with many other artists such as Armin van Buuren and Dash Berlin. In 2018, he released the album NeXt which featured collaborations with JES and Amurai. Awards & Nominations
Throughout his career, ATB has been nominated for multiple awards including two International Dance Music Awards for Best Global DJ (2006 & 2007), four Echo Awards for Best Dance Single (1997-2000), two Echo Awards for Best Producer (2000 & 2002), and one Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording (2008).
