Early Life & Career

After spending time in and out of jail for aggravated robbery and other charges, BigXthaPlug started writing raps in solitary confinement to maintain his sanity. When he was released in 2020, he dropped "Bacc From The Dead" and decided to take rap seriously, after sporadically releasing songs in 2019. Though originally hoping to become a professional football player (having played on both the offensive and defensive line in college), hip-hop eventually became his path to success.

His 2021 tracks "Safehouse," "Big Stepper," and "Mr. Trouble" set the stage for his successful career in 2022, the year he became a viral sensation.

Music Career

BigX released his EP titled “Big Stepper” in July 2022. After that, he garnered attention with his other successful single, “Texas” in November 2022. He made the song with an ode to his home state’s culture.

The Texas-based rapper has also been uploading official music videos of his songs on his self-titled YouTube channel. He uploaded his first music video titled “Strange Fruits” featuring RoSama on February 20, 2021. The video has gained over 1.9 million views by January 2023.
