Who is BRULUX?

BRULUX is a French rapper, singer, and songwriter born Josue Koffi on February 19th 1998 in the Paris suburb of Trappes. He has been making music since he was 14 years old and has grown to become one of the most popular hip-hop artists in France. His tracks feature influences from both American rap and French rap such as Booba, Rohff, and Damso. He often talks about topics such as racism, drugs, love, politics, and more.

Career

BRULUX started his career in 2016 with the release of his first mixtape 'Luxe'. This mixtape quickly earned him recognition from some of the biggest names in French rap. After the success of 'Luxe', he continued to release several music videos and singles including 'Sauvage', 'Faites le bruit', 'L'avenir est à nous', 'J'y pense', and many more. His songs have been featured on some of France's biggest radio stations including Skyrock and Trace FM. He also performed at many festivals such as Summer Jam Festival in 2018. In 2020 he released his first album 'Luxe II' which was met with critical acclaim.

Awards

In 2019 BRULUX was nominated for the 'Best Urban Music Album of the Year' award at the Victoires de la Musique Awards. He was also awarded 'Male Artist of the Year' at the 2020 Trace Music Awards.
