Born as Christophe Durier on April 3rd, 1983 in the city of Tourcoing, Willem was raised by his mother and grandmother. His musical career began at age 12 when he started playing the piano. He then went on to study music at the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse.
Rise to Fame
In 2003, Willem won the French talent show ""Graines de Stars"" and released his debut album ""Inventaire"" in 2006. The album was an instant success, going double platinum in France. In 2007, he released his second album ""Papillonne"", which achieved the same success as his first album. This was followed by three more albums: ""Caféine"" (2009), ""Rio"" (2011) and Prismophonic (2012).
