Cutting Crew are an English rock and pop band formed in 1985. The group was founded by vocalist Nick Van Eede and guitarist Kevin MacMichael, and is best known for their hit single (I Just) Died in Your Arms. The band has released five studio albums, with their debut album, Broadcast, issued in 1986. The current lineup of Cutting Crew consists of Nick Van Eede, guitarist Garry J. Baxter, drummer Martin Beedle and bassist Colin Farley.

History

Cutting Crew was formed in London in 1985 after Canadian vocalist Nick Van Eede had moved to England. He had previously been playing in bands since the age of 14. He teamed up with guitarist Kevin MacMichael of the Scottish pop group Frazier Chorus, who shared a similar musical background and vision. The two began writing songs together and formed Cutting Crew.

Discography

Cutting Crew have released five studio albums and have achieved international success with their singles. Their debut album Broadcast was released in 1986. It featured their biggest hit single (I Just) Died in Your Arms as well as other popular singles such as I've Been In Love Before and One for the Mockingbird. Their second album The Scattering was released in 1989 with the lead single Everything But My Pride reaching the UK Top 40. Their third album Compus Mentus was released in 1993 with the lead single Any Colour peaking at #31 on the UK Singles Chart.
