Cyndi Wang is a Taiwanese pop singer, actress, and entrepreneur. She was born on June 17, 1978 in Taipei City, Taiwan as Wang Xin Ling. Wang began her career as a singer in 2000 and has since released 14 studio albums. She's also starred in several movies and television shows and has released her own fashion line.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

At the age of seven, Wang began taking piano lessons and soon developed an interest in music. During her high school years, she performed in several musicals, including Grease and Little Shop of Horrors. After graduating from college in 2001 with a degree in business administration, she was signed by Sony Music.

Breakthrough Success

Wang's debut album was released in 2002 to critical acclaim. Her second album, which was released in 2004, was even more successful. It included the hit single “I Love You so Much” which topped the charts for six weeks. The same year, she began her acting career with a role in the movie Linger.
