About DAWN (던)
DAWN (던) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and producer who has been making waves in the Korean music industry since his debut in 2012. Born Dawn Richard, he is best known for his electronic R&B and hip hop-influenced sound. He has collaborated with a number of top Korean artists including G.Soul, Pusha T, and DeJ Loaf.
Early Career
DAWN began his career as a member of the K-pop group X5 in 2010. After the group disbanded in 2012, he decided to pursue a solo career. His first solo album, “The Starry Sky” was released in 2013, followed by his second album “Mellow” in 2014. In 2015, he released his third album “The Dawn” which saw him gain more recognition within the K-pop industry.
Collaborations
In 2016, DAWN collaborated with fellow K-pop star G.Soul on the single “One Way”. The single peaked at number 10 on the Korean music charts and received positive reviews from critics. He also collaborated with American rapper Pusha T on the single “Burn” which was featured on Pusha T’s EP “King Push: Darkest Before Dawn”. In 2017, he collaborated with American rapper DeJ Loaf on the single “Set It Off” which was released as part of DeJ Loaf’s album “Liberated”.
