El Chaval de la Bachata is the stage name of Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, a Dominican singer and songwriter who was born on March 13th, 1992 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is best known for his hit singles “Trap” and “La Ocasión”. El Chaval de la Bachata has won several awards, including a Latin Grammy Award.
Early Life & Career Beginnings
El Chaval began his career in the music industry at the age of 16 when he started producing his own music. He gained popularity in 2015 with the release of his single “Trap” which was featured on the album Trap Cartel. The following year, he released his debut studio album titled Odisea which featured collaborations with some of the biggest names in Latin music such as Romeo Santos and Manuel Turizo. His second studio album was released in 2018 and included collaborations with artists such as Alex Sensation.
Success & Recognition
In 2019, El Chaval received his first Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album for Odisea. He also performed at numerous festivals around the world including Coachella and Lollapalooza. El Chaval has become one of the most successful urban music artists in Latin America and continues to tour internationally.
