Elaine de Jesus Biography

Elaine de Jesus is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and producer. She was born in São Paulo in 1972. At the age of 16, she began singing in bars and clubs with her sister. In 1989 she released her first studio album with the band Nenhum de Nós. With this group she was able to reach a wider audience. Her most famous songs include ""Navegar"", ""A Música"", and ""Pise no Meu Coração"".

Throughout her career, Elaine has collaborated with some of Brazil's most renowned musicians. She has worked with popular artists such as Claudia Leite, Ricardo Chaves, and Aline Barros. Her music has been featured in films, television shows, and commercials. Her songs have also been performed by other artists around the world.

Projects

Throughout her career, Elaine has released four studio albums: 'Vento Ventania' (1992), 'Pise no Meu Coração' (1995), 'A Música' (1998) and 'Ao Vivo' (2002). She has also released two live albums: 'Todas as Cores' (2003) and 'Ao Vivo em São Paulo' (2006). Elaine has also performed in various theatre productions such as 'Uma História de Amor', 'O Pequeno Príncipe', and 'As Minas de Prata'. In 2009 she released a book of poems called 'Além das Palavras'.

Awards

Throughout her career, Elaine has been nominated for numerous awards including the Latin Grammy Award for Best Brazilian Contemporary Pop Album in 2002 for her album A Música. In 2003 she won the APCA Award for Best Singer in the State of São Paulo for her work on the musical O Pequeno Príncipe. She was also awarded the Sharp Prize for Best Female Singer in 2006.
