Who Is Fifth Harmony? Fifth Harmony is an all-female musical group that rose to fame on the second season of the X Factor in 2012. The group has a total of five members: Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Camila Cabello. Although each member has since gone on to pursue a solo career, they have still managed to remain close friends and make appearances together. Career Rise To Fame In 2012, after being put together by Simon Cowell on the X Factor USA, Fifth Harmony quickly became a fan favorite. After placing third on the show, the group signed with Syco Music and Epic Records in 2013. They released their debut EP Better Together in 2013 and their first full-length album Reflection in 2015. Both of these albums reached number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. Hit Singles The group’s most successful single is “Worth It” which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified double platinum by the RIAA. Some of their other popular singles include “Work From Home” which was certified six times platinum and “That’s My Girl” which was certified gold by the RIAA. Featurings & Solo Projects Fifth Harmony has collaborated with many other artists including Ty Dolla Sign, Missy Elliott, Gucci Mane, Kid Ink, and Meghan Trainor. In 2016 Camila Cabello left the group to pursue her solo career and since then each member has had solo projects as well as collaborations with other artists. Awards & Recognition Fifth Harmony has received numerous awards throughout their career including two MTV Video Music Awards for Artist to Watch in 2014 and Best Pop Video in 2016 for their single “Work From Home”. In 2015 they won three Teen Choice Awards for Choice Music Group: Female, Choice Summer Song for “Worth It” and Choice Single Female Artist for their single “Boss”. In 2016 they also won two iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards for Best International Group/Artist Video and Best Pop Video for “Work From Home”.
