Who is Fildan Rahayu Az Zahra?

Fildan Rahayu Az Zahra, more popularly known as Fildan, is an Indonesian pop artist who rose to fame in 2018 for her appearance in the ninth season of the Indonesian singing competition D’Academy. She quickly gained popularity for her powerful vocals and unique style.

Early Life

Fildan was born on January 10th, 1992 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. She grew up with an interest in music and started singing at the age of five. She sang in a choir at her local church and was part of the school choir as well. At the age of 18 she participated in a local singing competition and won first place. This propelled her to pursue a career in music.

Career

In 2018, Fildan began her career by auditioning for D’Academy. She quickly gained traction due to her unique style and powerful vocal range. Her performance of “Salah Apa Aku” propelled her to become one of the final contestants in the show. After D’Academy, she released two singles “Tetap Dalam Jiwa” and “Tak Ingin Sendiri” which were both big hits. Fildan has collaborated with many notable Indonesian artists such as Raisa, Afgan, Andmesh Kamaleng and many others.

Awards & Achievements

In 2018, Fildan won first place in the Indonesian singing competition D’Academy season nine. She was also nominated for the 2019 Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards for Best New Artist and Best Pop Song. In 2020, she was nominated for the Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards for Best Pop Duo/Group Collaboration for her collaboration with Raisa on their song “Kali Kedua”.

Fildan is currently single and resides in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is an advocate for gender equality and women's empowerment and often uses her platform to speak out about these issues.
