Who is Foxes?

Foxes is the stage name of British singer-songwriter and record producer Louisa Rose Allen. Born in Southampton in 1989, she was brought up in the nearby village of Wickham and attended a local performing arts college. After graduating in 2008, she moved to London to pursue a career in music. She wrote songs for other artists before releasing her own music, including her debut single “Youth” in 2012.

Foxes’ Musical Career

Foxes released her debut album Glorious in 2014 and followed it up with All I Need in 2016. Her music has been praised for its uplifting lyrics, catchy choruses and distinctive vocals. Her most successful single to date is “Clarity”, a collaboration with German DJ Zedd which topped the charts in the UK and US. She has also collaborated with Tiësto, Fall Out Boy and Rudimental. In 2020, she released her third album, Love Not Loving You.

Foxes’ Awards

Foxes has been nominated for various awards including a Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist, a MTV Video Music Award for Best Visual Effects and an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Push Artist. She has also won awards such as the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, and the European Border Breakers Award for Most Successful UK Act Abroad.

Foxes has been described as one of the most promising young British artists of the 2010s. She continues to write and perform music that is both upbeat and meaningful. With her unique sound and powerful lyrics, she is sure to be remembered as one of the greats.
