GENZIE is a South Korean singer and rapper. Born Lee Jeong-min on February 9, 2000, GENZIE gained widespread popularity after releasing their first single, “If So”, in 2018. They are known for their bold attitude on stage and their unique mix of genres such as hip-hop, R&B, and pop.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
GENZIE was born in Seoul, South Korea. They started writing lyrics at the age of 16 and were inspired by artists such as Zico and Heize. In 2018, GENZIE debuted with their single “If So” which was a hit at various music shows and festivals. The single was produced by G-Dragon from BIGBANG.
Rise to Fame
In 2019, GENZIE released their second single, “My Type”, which became an even bigger hit than “If So”. The song peaked at No. 5 on the Gaon Music Chart and was certified platinum by the Korean Music Content Association. In 2020, GENZIE collaborated with GOT7's Jackson Wang on the single “Pretty Please” which charted at No. 2 on the Gaon Music Chart.

In 2021, GENZIE released their third single “Fantasy” which was produced by Kang Daniel.
