Who is Hiro?

Hiro (Hiroaki Hasegawa) is a Japanese rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. He’s a multi-talented artist who started off his career by writing songs for other artists before releasing his own music. Born in 1984 in Tokyo, Hiro was raised listening to hip-hop from all over the world including Jay-Z, Kanye West and Mobb Deep.

Early Career

Hiro began his career as a songwriter for other artists before releasing his own music in 2006. He released his debut album “The First Album” in 2007. The album was a success and spawned several hit singles including “Dream Maker” and “Moonlight”. After the success of his debut album, Hiro released two more albums “The Second Album” (2010) and “The Third Album” (2014). Both albums were met with critical acclaim and featured collaborations with some of the biggest names in hip-hop such as GASHI, A$AP Ferg and Kohh.

Recent Music

In 2018, Hiro released his fourth studio album “The Fourth Album” which featured the single “Sleepwalking” which has since become one of his most popular songs. Following the success of the album, Hiro released two EPs “The Fifth EP” (2019) and “The Sixth EP” (2020). He is currently working on new music and is set to release his fifth studio album later this year.
