Who is Hoà Minzy?

Hoà Minzy (real name Hoà Thị Ngọc Minzy) is a 19 year old Vietnamese singer, songwriter, and dancer. She was born on August 10th, 2000 in Hanoi, Vietnam. She began her career as a dancer, but achieved fame as a singer after the release of her debut single 'Nu Tham Gia Cuoc Song' in 2017. Since then, she has released two extended plays and collaborated with other popular Vietnamese artists. In 2018, she was nominated for both the Golden Kite and Song Ca awards.

Musical Career

In 2017, Hoà Minzy released her debut single 'Nu Tham Gia Cuoc Song', which quickly propelled her to fame. The song was a commercial success and topped various charts in Vietnam. In 2018, she released her first extended play titled 'Myself'. It included 7 tracks, including the singles 'Em La Mot Tinh Yeu' and 'Rung La Thap'. That same year, she collaborated with fellow Vietnamese singer Bùi Anh Tuấn on the song 'Rut Gon'.

Awards and Recognition

In 2018, Hoà Minzy was nominated for both the Golden Kite Award and Song Ca Award. The Golden Kite Awards are annual awards presented to honour outstanding achievements in Vietnamese music. The Song Ca Awards recognise excellence in the performance of song ca music, a genre that originated from northern Vietnam.
