Who is Ipank?

Ipank is a 32 year old Indonesian pop singer, songwriter and composer. Born in 1987 in Jember, East Java, Indonesia, he started playing the guitar at the age of 14. He had an early interest in music, listening to bands such as The Beatles, Green Day and Coldplay. He went on to study at the University of Jember from 2005 to 2009. It was during this time that he began writing music and performing live. In 2010, he released his first album “Bangkitnya Suara” which was a huge success in Indonesia. Since then, he has released several more albums and singles, all of which have been very popular in the country. His most successful single to date is “Ya Salam” which was released in 2016.

Ipank has a unique style of singing which combines elements of rock, pop and folk music. His voice is soft and melodic, yet powerful enough to reach out to large crowds.
