Who is Jah Cure?

Jah Cure (real name Sydney George Francis) is a Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter who has become one of the most celebrated artists in the genre today. He was born on 11 October 1978 in Hanover, Jamaica. His mother abandoned him and he was raised by his grandmother until he was seven years old. He then moved to Kingston where he attended St. Andrew Technical High School.

Jah Cure's Musical Career

Jah Cure started his music career in 1996 when he released his debut album ""Ghetto Life"". The album was critically acclaimed and earned him a nomination for Best New Artist at the 1997 Reggae Awards. In 2003, Jah Cure released his second album ""True Reflections"". This album was a huge success, earning him several awards including Best Album of the Year at the 2003 Reggae Awards and Best Reggae Album of the Year at the 2004 MOBO Awards. In 2009, Jah Cure released his third album ""The Universal Cure"", which was also very well received by critics.
