Jamie T (born Jamie Alexander Treays) is a British singer-songwriter, rapper and producer from Wimbledon, South London. He first gained mainstream attention with his debut album Panic Prevention in 2006. His follow-up albums Kings & Queens (2009), Carry On The Grudge (2014), and Trick (2019) further established his presence in the alternative music scene.Early Life
Jamie T was born in Wimbledon, South London in 1988. Growing up, he became interested in music at an early age and started writing rhymes when he was 14. He eventually dropped out of sixth form college so that he could focus on his music career.Career
Jamie T's debut album Panic Prevention was released in 2006 to critical acclaim. The album featured the singles 'If You Got The Money' and 'Calm Down Dearest'. The album peaked at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart, making it one of the most successful indie albums of that year.In 2009, Jamie released his second album Kings & Queens which featured the hit single 'Sticks N Stones'. The album peaked at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Gold by the BPI.
In 2014, Jamie released his third album Carry On The Grudge which included the singles 'Zombie' and 'Don’t You Find'. The album again reached number 1 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Gold by the BPI.
In 2019, Jamie released his fourth studio album Trick which featured the singles 'Tinfoil Boy' and 'Power Over Men'. The album peaked at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Silver by the BPI.
