From an early age, he was interested in music and started playing the piano when he was 5 years old. He learned classical music while attending the École Normale de Musique de Paris.
Career
In 1971, Jean-Jacques Goldman made his professional debut by joining the band Taï Phong. The band released three albums between 1975 and 1977 before disbanding in 1980. In 1981, he began his solo career with the release of his debut album ‘Démodé’. The album was well received by both critics and fans alike. Over the next few years, he released several other albums such as ‘Non Homologué’ (1984), ‘Entre Gris Clair et Gris Foncé’ (1986) and ‘Rouge’ (1988).
