Biography of Ghanaian Gospel Singer Joe Mettle
Joseph Oscar Mettle, known professionally as Joe Mettle, is a Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter. He was born on May 7, 1985 in Accra, Ghana. Joe Mettle started singing at a young age and he released his debut album in 2008 called “God of Miracles”. Since then he has released five other albums and has won numerous awards including Gospel Artiste of the Year at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Early Life and Career
Joe Mettle had a passion for music from a very young age. He joined his church's choir at the age of seven. In 2004, he graduated from Pentecost University College with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. He then went on to pursue a degree in Music from the University of Ghana. In 2008, he released his debut album “God of Miracles” which was well-received by fans and critics alike.In 2011, Joe Mettle released his second album “The Undefeated” which was nominated for Best Selling Album at the Africa Gospel Awards in South Africa. He has since gone on to release four other albums and has collaborated with several artists such as Bertha, Erico, Nacee, and Akesse Brempong.

Joe Mettle has won numerous awards throughout his career including Best Gospel Artiste at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Best Male Vocalist at the 2016 Crown Gospel Awards in South Africa, Best Gospel Artiste at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, and Best International Act (Africa) at the 2017 Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards in the United States.
Personal Life
Joe Mettle is married to Selassie Dzisa and they have two children together. He is also a philanthropist who uses his platform to support various charities such as Star of Hope Mission which helps vulnerable children in Ghana.
