Early Life
Bellion was born Jonathan David Bellion on December 26, 1990 in Lake Grove, New York. He was raised by his mother in a religious household. As a child he was exposed to a variety of musical styles like rap, soul, gospel and classic rock. He studied music theory at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, New York before focusing on a career in music.
Career
In 2011, Bellion released his debut mixtape “Scattered Thoughts Vol. 1” which was met with positive reviews from critics. In 2013, he signed with Visionary Music Group and released his second mixtape “Translations Through Speakers.” The following year he released two EP’s “The Separation” and “The Definition” which were both met with critical acclaim. In 2016 he released his debut studio album “The Human Condition” which debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart. The album features the hit single “All Time Low” which peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
