About Jordyn Jones

Jordyn Jones is a singer, actress, model and dancer from Kalamazoo, Michigan. She first gained recognition in 2011 after posting covers of hit songs on YouTube. She went on to compete in the Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition on Lifetime and has since released singles such as “Let Me Love You” and “Lips Don’t Lie.” In 2016, she was a part of the girl group The Good Times which released an EP titled “Til Morning.” In addition to music, Jordyn has also starred in films such as “A Girl Like Her” and “Internet Famous” as well as appeared in various television shows such as “Awkward” and “Bizaardvark.”

Early Life

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 13th, 2000, Jordyn Jones was raised by her parents Marcy Jones and Robert Jones. She began taking dance classes at age three, focusing on hip-hop and jazz. At the age of seven she trained with a professional teacher at the Dance Arts Academy in Kalamazoo where she continued to hone her skills in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics and hip-hop. As a young dancer she competed in many competitions locally and nationally.

Career

In 2011 at the age of eleven, she started posting covers of hit songs on YouTube which quickly gained attention from viewers around the world. This led to appearances on Dance Moms and other television shows as well as roles in films. She went on to compete in Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition on Lifetime from 2012-2013 where she placed fourth out of twelve contestants. In 2014 she released her debut single “Ice Cream Freeze (Let’s Chill)” which made it onto the Billboard Kids Digital Songs chart at number forty-five.

Music Career

In 2015 she signed with T3 Music Group and released her second single “Let Me Love You” which reached number one on the Billboard Kids Digital Songs chart as well as number nine on the Billboard Heatseekers Songs chart. She followed that success with the release of her third single “Lips Don’t Lie” which peaked at number twenty-three on the Billboard Kids Digital Songs chart. In 2016 she was featured as a guest vocalist on Jake Miller’s single “Overnight” as well as AJ Mitchell’s single “Used To Be.” That same year she was also a part of the girl group The Good Times who released an EP titled “Til Morning.”

Film & Television Career

In 2013 Jordyn had her first major film role in “A Girl Like Her” which was a drama directed by Amy S. Weber about a high school student who is bullied by another student. She went on to appear in the television series Awkward for two seasons from 2013-2015. In 2016 she starred in the comedy film Internet Famous alongside Cameron Dallas which was released to mixed reviews from critics. She also had a recurring role in Bizaardvark from 2016-2018.
