Who is Julien Doré?

Julien Doré is a French singer-songwriter and actor. He has released five studio albums and collaborated with many artists throughout his career. His most successful singles include “Boum Boum Boum”, “Paris-Seychelles” and “Sublime et Silence”. He has also participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 representing France.

Early Life

Julien Doré was born on 6 July 1982 in Alès, France. He was raised in a musical family and developed an interest in singing early on. He studied at the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse de Montpellier and later moved to Paris to start his career as a musician.

Career

In 2007, Doré released his debut single “Couleurs” which became a hit in France and Europe. Following this success, he released his debut album “Ersatz” in 2008. The album was a commercial success, spawning several hit singles including “La Mélodie” and “Les Limites”. In 2010 he released his second album “Bichon” which featured collaborations with several artists such as Benjamin Biolay and Yael Naim. The album was well-received by critics and spawned two top 10 singles in France.

Recent Work

In 2017, Doré released his fourth studio album “Voyou” which features collaborations with several artists such as Angèle, Stromae and Mark Ronson. The album was acclaimed by critics and spawned the hit single “Kiss Me Forever”. In 2018, he represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest with his song “Roi” but failed to qualify for the final. He is currently working on his fifth studio album which is set to be released in 2020.

Personal Life

Doré is currently unmarried but has been in a relationship with French actress Clotilde Courau since 2015. He is an avid supporter of LGBT rights and has spoken out against homophobia in the past.
