Who is KCee?

KCee, born Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, is a 45-year-old Nigerian musician and record producer. He has been making music since 2003 and his music has made a mark in the industry. He is best known for his singles ""Limpopo"" and ""Okoso"", both of which were massive hits in Nigeria.

Career

KCee began his career as a member of the defunct music duo KC Presh alongside Precious John. The duo released their debut studio album, ‘Gift and Grace’ in 2003. The album's success led to their signing to Kennis Music in 2004. As a solo artist, he released his debut studio album, ‘Kc Double’ in 2008. The album spawned several hits including ‘Limpopo’, which was one of the most successful singles in Nigeria that year. Since then, he has released three more albums; ‘Take Over’ (2012), ‘Takeover 2.0’ (2013), and ‘Attention to Detail’ (2015).

KCee has collaborated with several other artists including Harrysong, Timaya, Flavour, and Skiibii. His collaboration with Harrysong on the song ‘Carry Me Go’ was particularly successful. The song was nominated for multiple awards and won Best Collaboration of the Year at the 2016 Headies Awards.
