Kenneth ""Kenny"" Lattimore is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer who has released five studio albums since 1996. His most successful album was the Grammy-nominated From The Soul of Man in 2001. He has also written and produced numerous songs for other artists.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Kenny Lattimore was born on April 10, 1966 in Washington D.C. He was the third of four children and attended Howard University to study music. He began his career as a background singer for various recording artists including Tevin Campbell, Lalah Hathaway and Chaka Khan. In 1996 he released his self-titled debut album which included the hit single ""For You"".

Breakthrough Success

In 2001, Kenny released his second album From the Soul of Man which was met with critical acclaim and reached number one on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The lead single ""Never Too Busy"" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. His following two albums Vulnerable (2003) and Timeless (2005) both achieved moderate success but failed to match the success of From The Soul of Man.

Recent Projects

In 2010 Kenny released his fourth studio album entitled Back 2 Cool which included the single ""Find a Way"". He then released his fifth album Anatomy of a Love Song in 2015 which featured the single ""Love Me Back"". Kenny has also released several EPs including A Kenny Lattimore Christmas (2013) and Uncovered/Covered (2016). Kenny continues to tour around the world performing and writing music. He is currently working on a sixth studio album scheduled to be released in 2019.
