Who is Kiana Ledé?
Kiana Ledé is a 21-year-old R&B and soul singer-songwriter from Phoenix, AZ. She was born Kiana Ledé Brown to a musical family, and she has been singing since she was three years old. Her love of music was encouraged by her parents, and she started writing songs at the age of nine. In 2018, Kiana released her debut EP Myself which reached number one on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart. Since then she has released a full length album titled Kiki and two EPs, Christmas Blues and Christmas Palm Trees.Early Life and Education
Kiana was born in Phoenix, AZ to a musical family. Her mother was a producer and songwriter with the group The Voice Masters and her father was a multi-instrumentalist who played drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and percussion. Kiana started singing at three years old, and her parents encouraged her passion for music. She began taking vocal lessons at age seven and was writing songs by nine. When she was fourteen years old, Kiana moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career.Career
Kiana's career began when she appeared on the show The Voice in 2013. She placed in the top 8 contestants that season and gained recognition for her powerful vocal range. After appearing on the show, she began writing songs for other artists including Chris Brown and BTS. Kiana has received numerous awards throughout her career including a 2020 Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance for her single “Expectations” as well as being nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding New Artist in 2019. She also won an MTV Video Music Award for Best Collaboration in 2018 for her collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign on their song “Love Lies”.Personal Life
