Kwabs: British Singer, Songwriter and Musician

Kwabs is a British singer, songwriter, and musician. Born Kwabena Adjepong in London in 1989, he grew up in South London surrounded by music. He started singing from an early age at church and school. At 16 he was selected to attend the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. After leaving school he went on to study Popular Music at Goldsmiths College.

A Soulful Voice

Kwabs has an instantly recognizable soulful voice. His heartfelt lyrics, soulful vocals and intricate production have seen him become one of the most exciting artists of recent years. His debut album “Love + War” was released in 2015 and included the singles “Walk” and “Cheating on Me”. It was followed by his self-titled EP in 2017 and his single “My Own”.

Collaborations

Kwabs has collaborated with other artists including Will Heard on the single “I Need Love” which was featured on the soundtrack of Michael Fassbender's film “Frank”. He has also worked with John Newman on the song “Losing Sleep” which was included on Newman's album “Revolve”.

Live Performances

Kwabs has toured extensively throughout Europe, performing at festivals such as Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds. He has also supported artists such as Sam Smith and Erykah Badu on their world tours. In 2019 he released his first live album “Live At The Roundhouse” which was recorded at London's iconic venue. Kwabs continues to release music and tour, delighting fans with his distinctive voice and captivating live performances.
