The Story of Lichterkinder

Lichterkinder is the musical alias of Johannes Holz, a 26 year old singer-songwriter from Germany. Growing up in a small town near Frankfurt, Johannes was surrounded by music from an early age, from classical piano to modern pop. His passion for music eventually led him to pursue a career as a musician. He released his debut single in 2018 and has since released two EPs and two full-length albums.

Music Style & Inspiration

Lichterkinder's music is an eclectic mix of indie-pop, rock, and folk. Influenced by artists such as Bon Iver, Bruce Springsteen, and Radiohead, he creates music that is both atmospheric and emotionally charged. His lyrics often explore themes of love, loss, and hope. In addition to writing songs, Johannes also plays guitar and piano, giving his music a distinctive sound.

Collaborations & Performances

In addition to writing and performing his own music, Johannes has also collaborated with other musicians and bands on various projects. His most notable collaboration was with German alternative rock band Dúné on their 2016 album ‘The Sound of Dúné’. He has also performed live at a number of festivals in Germany, including Rock im Park and Rock am Ring.

Latest Projects

In 2020, Johannes released his third full-length album entitled ‘Grenzenlos’. The album is an exploration of love, life, and hope in an ever-changing world. It features some of his most personal songs to date as well as some of his most ambitious production work. The album has received critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. Johannes is currently working on new music for 2021 and beyond.
