Lil Uzi Vert

Lil Uzi Vert, real name Symere Bysil Woods, is an American rapper with his own blended style of hip-Hop, trap, emo & rock. The visionary artist neatly merges his music with his high-fashion sense and stands loyal to his massive fan base. Born in North Philadelphia, he grew up on the rough side of town and kept himself out of the wrong path. Musically he was influenced by Meek Mill, Wiz Khalifa, and rock artist Marilyn Manson who seemed to inspire him the most. While in school, he hooked up with a guy named William Aston, who brought him to a studio to record his first song. Both ambitious, they motivated each other and formed the group “SteakTown.” Going on to release his first project, “Purple thoughts,” he was given the name Uzi after being told the speed of his rap style sounded like an Uzi. Uzi opened a SoundCloud account, and pretty quickly, his career began to accelerate. Noticed by DJ Buzz Worthy, he offered to manage them, but only Uzi took up the offer. After being featured on Power 99 radio, Don Cannon, the record executive, brought him to Atlanta to record some tracks. He was then signed to Academy imprint & Atlantic Records. Releasing the Uzi mix-tape, the rapper recorded with A$ap, which exposed him to a larger following. Signing with the generation now, he released “Money Longer” in 2016, which became the first song to push him over into mainstream music. Lil Uzi Vert released his “Luv was rage album in 2017. It went on to top the no1 spot on the Billboard charts.
