Who is Lindemann?
Lindemann is the stage name of German musician Till Lindemann. He is best known as the frontman of the Neue Deutsche Härte (NDH) band Rammstein, which he joined in 1994. He is also an occasional actor, having appeared in several films and television series.
Early Life
Lindemann was born on 4 January 1963 in Leipzig, East Germany. He has two brothers: one older and one younger. His mother was a teacher and his father was an author who wrote children's books. Lindemann studied dramatic arts at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1982 to 1987.
Career
Lindemann's career began in 1987 when he became a member of the theatre group Die Basis. He later joined Rammstein as their lead singer and began to write lyrics for the band. He also appeared in several films and television shows, including the 1996 film Nothing Else Matters, the 1997 film Dobermann and the 1999 series Blutige Engel.
Collaborations
In 2015, Lindemann released his debut solo album, Skills in Pills. The album featured collaborations with Peter Tägtgren, Emmelie de Forest, Marilyn Manson and Apocalyptica. The album spawned three singles: “Praise Abort”, “Fish On” and “Skills in Pills”.

Lindemann has won several awards for his music with Rammstein, including four ECHO Awards, two MTV Europe Music Awards and one World Music Award. He has also been nominated for a Grammy Award four times but has yet to win one.
Personal Life
Lindemann married his long-time girlfriend Barbara Teufel in 2004. They have two children together. In 2013, they divorced after nine years of marriage.
