In 2011, he auditioned for La Academia Kids, a singing reality show, where he became one of the finalists. From then on, his career success started to take off.

In 2013, Luis Coronel signed to Del Records and released his first single “Mi Niña Traviesa”. The single was a great success in both Mexico and the United States. Following this success, he released his debut album “Con la Frente en Alto”, which included many hits such as “Tenerte” and “Mi Niña Traviesa”.
