Early Life

Luisito Muñoz is a Mexican singer-songwriter from Guadalajara, Jalisco, who is known for his influence in Latin American music. He was born on April 12th 1993 in Guadalajara, the second-largest city in Mexico and the capital of the state of Jalisco. Muñoz was exposed to music from an early age since his father was a musician. He began playing guitar at the age of 11 and soon joined his father's band. In his teenage years, he developed a passion for writing songs and often wrote them in secret as he was too shy to share them with people around him.

Musical Career

Muñoz began his professional music career in 2013 when he released his first EP titled 'Mientras Tanto'. The EP was a great success and earned him recognition in the Latin American music scene. After the success of Mientras Tanto, he released three more EPs in quick succession: 'Cada vez que te veo' (2014), 'Canciones para un parque' (2015) and 'Alegrías del alma' (2016). All of these projects were very successful and earned him a loyal fan base in Latin America and beyond. In 2018, he released his debut album 'Paraíso de las sombras', which further cemented his status as one of the most influential musicians in Latin America.

In 2020, he worked with Uruguayan singer-songwriter Ruben Rada to release the single 'En el camino'. The song quickly became a hit in Latin America and topped the charts in several countries.

Muñoz has been recognized for his work by several prestigious awards over the years. In 2020, he won four Latin Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, Best Pop/Rock Album, Best Songwriting and Best Arrangement for 'En el camino'. He also won the Premio Lo Nuestro award for Best New Artist in 2021.
