Biography

Lukas Agustinho is a Brazilian singer, composer and producer born in 1983 in São Paulo. He grew up in a musical family and began playing the guitar when he was 10 years old. He studied classical guitar at the Bandeirantes University of São Paulo and later went on to study jazz guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After returning to Brazil, he started composing music for television shows, films and theater.

Career

In 2004, Lukas released his first album “Caminhos” which featured songs composed by him. In 2006, he released his second album “Ritmos do Brasil” which had a great reception from critics and fans alike. His third album “A Terra Prometida” was released in 2008 and was nominated for Best Instrumental Album at the Latin Grammy Awards of 2009. Throughout his career, Lukas has shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Milton Nascimento and João Bosco. He has also collaborated with other artists such as Maria Gadú, Alexandre Pires and Fafá de Belém.
